RSS
Wilson,
Is there a way to get an RSS feed on this blog so that I know when new posts have been added? If its already set up to do that, can you explain to me how to tap into that?
Thanks,
Tom

If you rocked a Mac, there would be a clickable link in the menu bar on your browser. Then it would automatically upload into a nifty FREE RSS Reader like Vienna. And you would get updates all the time, from this, and any other rss sources you desired.
I see the handy little rss icon, and I can click on it and subscribe. But then what? Where does the rss go? someone may need to show me how this works. I was under the impression that it would send me an email or something.
Tom
Tom,
No, it's not going to send you an email.
RSS is a passive-push technology. ATOM, which is what this site runs, is a similar technology that is often lumped together as RSS.
This means that software, such as Vienna, can "aggregate" multiple site feeds into one interface so that you can browse at your whim.
Since your still a sinner in the hands of a molesting bill gates, I don't know what software to tell you to use. though I suspect if you google RSS aggregator WinXP, you'll find something with either spyware or viri attached to it. Have fun!
