The Littlest Socratic
Well, he's here: Josiah James Woodard-Lehman. Over two weeks early, working ahead of schedule already. Here's a photo of his first bedtime story, "On Forgiveness." Watch your back Zizek!
Everybody is happy and healthy. Looking forward to seeing you all soon. And thanks for what I am sure will be overwhelmingly generous and delicious meals.

Allow me to be the first to congratulate you all in this forum.

Second! (At least in this forum...)
Hey Derek and Tara ~
Sending aloha from our family to yours! Congratulations! So glad to hear that mom and baby are in good health and doing fine after the labor/delivery.
Wish we could help with the "meals on wheels" for you guys, but being in Hawaii presents some logistical challenges. I can offer a hopefully helpful suggestion: Use paper plates and disposable utensils as much as possible during those first 6 weeks! The more time you have for more important things (like SLEEP), the better! (Note: Being sleep deprived for more than a couple weeks can do strange things to your brain -- after Katie was born, I think I accidentally threw away a Williams-Sonoma spoon from my wedding place settings. And since we only have four place settings, it's quite noticable when you're missing one spoon! Anyway, we should've just used disposable utensils in the first place. I guess that's my point.)
Anyway, congratulations again! Looking forward to hearing more about that exciting day/night when you have some time and energy to spare.

Derek and Tara,
Big congrats. I think I'm the first to send you a tasty meal. I hope you find it tasty. 375 for about 1 hour should do it on the pasta and bean with cheese and garden vegetables caserole.
I love that you're reading him Zizek!
